DescriptionFIREARM; A massively-proportioned shotgun corresponding to modern 10 gauge. Single barrel, percussion lock.The barrel is secured to the stock (which extends nearly to the muzzle) by two copper straps. Lock plate and hammer are undecorated. The stock is not chequered: it assumes a square cross-section around the lock, and has a steel butt plate. Very substantial brass trigger guard. Westray shipwreck)
