DescriptionA complete lead spindle whorl, possibly reused as a love token, of likely Post Medieval date, c.1601 CE. One face shows a single mark at each cardinal point, first "B" or "P", then a bilobate love heart, then "H", and finally a trilobate, curving symbol, likely some form of ampersand. The other face features the lettering: "18.MAY.1601.". The token is bent slightly.
