Object numberOM-19198
DescriptionBone plaque, cut from a piece of longbone. Originally it was roughly rectangular but it now has a piece missing from one side and a small notch in the other. Both pieces of damage look relatively fresh and are presumably modern.
The origin of the object is not known, but it bears the number "237" in a style that is often associated with the work of Gordon Childe, particularly at Skara Brae. From Childe notebooks, SMF "237" = 'Part of bone spoon'. Excavated from Passage C, between door of Hut 7 and junction to B.
