DescriptionWatercolour sketch by Stanley Cursiter from 1913, depicting a fantastic arrangement of heads and figures, in the style of the Commedia dell'Arte, including a ballet dancer at the top, a Mr Punch-style head on the left, a bull or goat on the right, and a skull-and-cross-bones flag at the centre.
The sketch is on thin cream cardboard, rough at the bottom edge, and is signed in blue pencil in the bottom right corner. It was given to the donor's mother by Stanley Cursiter while he was painting at Spiggie, Shetland.
