DescriptionFIREARM; Single-barrel shotgun from the percussion cap era. Corresponds to modern 10 gauge. The barrel thickens and blends into an octagonal section for the rearmost 220mm of its length: It is pinned to the short forward stock at one point, through elaborate brass plates. Forward of the stock a substantial strengthening rib carries the ramrod. Lock plate and hammer are undecorated. The rear stock is chequered and terminates in a steel butt plate.
