Chums of the Northern Patrol
-
A naval story of the Great War; Foreward by Author: There are few boys who have not, at some time or another, longed to share the adventures of "they that go down to the sea in ships". To these boys I offer this book with the explanation that, although it is fiction, quite a lot of the incidents actually happened during the Great War. Many of my former shipmates may remember some of the adventures; others, alot, made the supreme sacrifice whilst engaged upon similar exploits. To the memory of those brave youngsters who did their duty to the end, I respectfully dedicate this tale of naval adventure during the War. Ernest L McKeag, Dover, June 1929.
The Northern Patrol patrolled the North Sea during World War 1 defending Britain from the German Fleet.
