The Pirate

With an introduction by the author which tells of his voyage around the lighthouses of Scotland in 1814 as a guest of the Commissioners for the Northern Lighthouse Board and with Robert Stevenson (engineer) where he heard the story of Pirate Gow from "an old sibyl" who traded favourable winds to sailors in Stromness, Orkney.
