Description of Four Orkney Beaches

Report of a study carried out in 1974, in response to the development of an Oil Handling Terminal on Flotta, to monitor the marine environment of Scapa Flow. A number of circumstances resulted in areas outside Scapa Flow being tested and this report contains results of testing at Herston, South Ronaldsay, Bay of Stove, Sanday, Mill Sands, Tankerness, and Inganess Bay, St. Ola.
