This fictional saga unfolds from notes left by Mary Ann's son and covers a period spanning the 19th and 20th centuries at a time of great change in the world. The notes contained personal memories of relationships within the family and community and for this reason were secreted in the loft of the family home only to be discovered forty years later when the house was being renovated.
