Living Silver

This book is written around the central character of Jan, a young inexperienced fisherman; the reader learns as he does about the making and handling of fishing gear, seine and drift nets, the long lines and the lobster pots. Also about the fish themselves, the cod and the haddock, the whiting and the hake, the plaice and the sole, and a host of others.
